Donate Funds

Donations of money are the lifeblood of The NSC. Unlike donations of food that rely upon scarce storage space, your financial contributions can be put to immediate use in buying food when the need is greatest, and at the best value when buying salvage, on sale, or in bulk. Money is also needed to pay salaries, maintain the building, buy gasoline for the truck, and keep our refrigerators running. Contributions of any size are gratefully received and are fully tax-deductible.

Make a Recurring Gift

Money Tree

Through our Direct Donate program, you can set up an automatic weekly or monthly donation of $5 or more. Save yourself checks and postage, and ensure that 100% of your donation comes directly to us.

To enroll, simply fill out the form, enclose a check in your selected amount, and send it back to us. Your monthly bank statement will clearly show how you have given, and we’ll send you an annual thank you statement for tax purposes.

In planning a gift, it may be helpful to know that:

  • $5 a week (72 cents/day) helps us provide one person with a food box every month for a year
  • $100 a month ($3.30 a day for a year) helps provide twelve children with breakfast and lunch all summer long
  • $1,050 runs the Center for one day, providing 2,000 pounds of food for 50 to 70 individuals in Hampshire County

If you're able to make a larger donation or would like to speak with us about planned giving, please feel free to contact Heidi at any time.

Subtle Savings Program

Subtle Savings Jars

Empty glass jars and art supplies are donated to the Northampton Survival Center. Groups and individuals add aesthetic flair by decorating the jars. Visitors to the Center select a favorite jar and take it home to create a family collection site.

Just place the jar on a kitchen counter, dresser or laundry table and fill with loose change over time. Use it as a focal point for discussions with children about saving, spending, and helping others! Whenever you’re ready, simply donate the jar and coins back to the NSC to help us feed others in the community!

Drop by and select your jar today, or call Beth at 586-6564 for more information.
